At EXOfit Ballsbridge Dublin 4, our focus has always been simple: structured training that actually carries over into real life. That’s exactly why we’ve added a new Brother & Smurfs small group strength and conditioning class to the weekly schedule — every Friday evening at 5pm.

This session is primarily weights-based, with conditioning layered in intelligently. It’s not random circuits, and it’s not about chasing fatigue for the sake of it. It’s about getting stronger, moving better, and finishing the week with a solid training stimulus that supports long-term progress.

What Is the Brother & Smurfs Small Group Class?

This class is built around strength and conditioning, with the main emphasis on resistance training. Think compound lifts, controlled volume, sensible progressions, and just enough conditioning to improve work capacity without compromising form or recovery.

Training in a small group allows for:

Individual coaching cues

Proper load selection

Technical feedback on lifts

A pace that challenges you without rushing you

It sits nicely between one-to-one coaching and large group classes — structured, coached, and still social.

The Benefits of Strength-Focused Group Training

Strength training isn’t just for performance goals. It underpins almost everything we do in the gym and outside it.

Some of the key benefits include:

Improved muscle strength and joint resilience

Better posture and movement efficiency

Increased metabolic health

Reduced injury risk through stronger tissues

Carryover into sport, work, and everyday tasks

By keeping the focus on weights first, this class ensures that technique and progression don’t get lost — something that often happens in overly fast-paced conditioning sessions.

Why Friday at 5pm Works

Friday evening training can be a game-changer. Instead of squeezing sessions into an already hectic week, this class gives you a clear end-of-week anchor.

It works well because:

You’re not rushed by work the next morning

It’s a productive way to close the week

Training quality is often higher than late-week “quick sessions”

Recovery over the weekend is built in

For many members, it’s also a mental reset — finishing the week having done something positive and challenging.

Who Is This Class For?

The Brother & Smurfs class is ideal if you:

Want to get stronger without training alone

Prefer coached sessions with clear structure

Enjoy weights but still want a conditioning element

Are already doing personal training and want an extra weekly session

Are looking for practical personal trainer advice applied in real time

You don’t need to be advanced, but you do need to be willing to train with intent.

Strength Training, Done Properly

At EXOfit, we don’t chase trends. We focus on repeatable, well-coached training that builds strength over time. This new Friday class reflects the same standards we apply across our personal training studio — just delivered in a small group setting.

If you’ve been looking to add a consistent, weights-based session to your week, the Brother & Smurfs Friday 5pm strength and conditioning class is a solid place to do it.
